My first encounter with home-recording, entirely realised using a free trial version of Pro Tools that was limited to only 8 audio tracks. Loops, samples, effects, vintage instrumentation, and a rap performed by a Macintosh: the potential of the album was so revolutionary that many record companies received pressures to prevent its distribution. Or at least, that’s the unofficial version.
