06.11.09 Impollinazioni has won the Premio Toast 2009 award for Best Italian Instrumental Album. The award, created by Toast Records in association with M.E.I. (the italian meeting of indipendent labels, a very important musical fair in Italy), was given "for the rare ability to convey music without boundaries", and the band will receive it and hold a brief performance on November 28th at M.E.I., where they've also been pointed out as one of Best New Indie-Rock Acts of 2009.

03.06.09 Walter Marocchi and Mala Hierba will perform at the "Omaggio a Demetrio Stratos" music festival, scheduled every year in Alberone di Cento (Ferrara). The quartet will perform on friday, june 19th. Among the other performing artists Tom Moto, Paolo Tofani, Albert Hera, Boris Savoldelli.

19.05.09 "The Stand" is the second music video from Art Of Logging's Heavy Machinery album. Once again directed by Sergio Bosatra, it's a psychedelic voyage into the ecstasy of the organic shot with RED high-definition cameras. Watch the premiere at www.myspace.com/artoflogging.

04.05.09 The documentary Once We Were Children on cult writer Joe Lansdale, produced by Central Groucho and edited by WM, will be premiered on Wednesday, May 13th, within the Piacenza Blues Festival. At the end of the film there will be a special performance by Walter and pianist Fabrizio Mocata, author of the original soundtrack and member of Mala Hierba.

11.04.09 Some of Art Of Logging's tracks have been selected to score the exhibition "Stelle Della Notte". Besides being mixed by DJ Alex Stirner at the opening night show on april 21st in Modena, the songs will be played and promoted during the next legs of the touring exhibition, all the year round. The event will cover the entire italian nation.

06.04.09 Where were we? Oh, yes: a renewed website (check out the MUSIC and MEDIA sections), and the release of the album Impollinazioni. It’s really been a long and winding road to the publishing of this disc, and that’s why I’m even prouder and can’t wait to play it on stage, hoping there will be a lot of stages for us in the next months. 23.12.08 "Dance Lance" is the first music video from Art Of Logging's Heavy Machinery album. Entirely realised in stop-motion,the video is directed by Sergio Bosatra. Apart from being broadcasted on national networks, it's online at www.myspace.com/artoflogging.

02.12.08 Works completed for the first Mala Hierba album, which is going to be released in the early months of 2009.

21.07.08 Recording sessions for the first Mala Hierba full-length album are currently in progress. The album will feature new versions of the four tracks included in the EP recorded in 2006, plus new compositions, already performed on stage in the last gigs. The long-awaited record is scheduled for the end of the year.
